Misha Perez

DIRECTOR OF PARTNERSHIPS

Misha Perez serves as Director of Partnerships at the Oakland Fund, where he leads coalition-building, fundraising, communications, and program management to advance equity-focused initiatives across Oakland. He has secured major grants and built cross-sector collaborations to support projects in housing, youth mentorship, violence prevention, workforce development, and climate resilience.

Known for stepping in to fill gaps, solve problems, and build practical strategies that push projects forward, Misha often works at the intersection of partners—connecting the dots and keeping things moving. Before OFPI, he managed grassroots political campaigns across the country.

Born and raised in Oakland, Misha is committed to amplifying the leaders and organizations already making a difference in the Town. Having lived in many regions across the country— including the Midwest, South, and Northeast—he’s learned that people share much more in common than they often realize. It’s also made it clear how much Oakland has going for it: deep talent, real community power, and extraordinary natural resources. Oakland has everything it needs to thrive—and Misha wants to help strengthen the connections and trust that make that possible.

Misha holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Warren Wilson College. In his free time, you’ll likely find him scrambling around California’s beautiful regional parks or watching the gibbons at the Oakland Zoo with his partner.
