Discounted rent, reduced security deposits, housing stipends, and financial coaching help educators stay in the profession and build long-term financial security. Carina and Chris Ibarra, both Oakland educators, spent years in a cramped one-bedroom apartment. Then they discovered Rooted.

Through the Rooted Housing Marketplace, they found an Oakland home that cut their commute in half and saved them nearly $4,000 in their first year. The move gave them more time with their students, family, and community.
